| Essex Gay Men is a support group for gay and bisexual men, who are over 18, meeting monthly in Basildon. | |
| Coffee, tea and snacks are provided, and all new members will receive an induction pack regarding ground rules and personal safety. | |
| The support group is primarily aimed at members who will benefit from occasional workshops, visiting speakers and a small group environment support. | |
| There is a no alcohol policy, and a safe and secure environment is ensured, especially for those who are not comfortable with their own sexuality, those lonely and isolated, or those disillusioned with the general gay scene. | |
| Essex Gay Men is an ideal environment to make local friends, and the first steps towards improving life. | |
| Essex Gay Men also operates in other parts of Essex - Braintree, Chelmsford, Grays, and Maldon - attracting 10/15 members at each venue, and managed by volunteer facilitators. | |
